The fair-split referee
Settle it.
Fairly.
Who pays what for the trip? How do we split rent when the rooms aren't equal? Who keeps the couch? Describe the situation — EvenSplit weighs it like a neutral third party and gives you a fair split, the reasoning, and a message you can actually send.

How it works
Three steps to "okay, that's fair."
Lay out the situation
Say who's involved and what needs dividing — money, an item, work, or a bill. Rough details are fine; add numbers if you have them.
We weigh it
EvenSplit picks the fairness principle that best fits — equal, by usage, by income, by contribution, or by need — and does the maths.
Get a split you can send
A clear breakdown for each person, the reasoning behind it, and a friendly message you can drop straight into the group chat.
What it splits
Anything that ends in "well, that's not fair."
Bills & dinners
Itemised restaurant bills, shared groceries, the one who didn't drink — split by what each person actually had.
Rent by room
Different room sizes, the en-suite, the box room, the one with no window — a fair rent for each, not a blind even split.
Group trips
Who booked, who drove, who covered the Airbnb — settle up so everyone lands even at the end.
Chores & work
Divide housework, a group project, or a shared task by time and effort, not by who shouts loudest.
Inheritances & heirlooms
Dividing money or sentimental items between siblings, fairly and without the fight.
Break-ups & move-outs
Who keeps what, who bought what, who owes whom — a calm, neutral starting point.
Why it matters
Most splits aren't unfair on purpose.
They go wrong because "let's just split it evenly" quietly ignores who used more, earns more, or contributed more — and nobody wants to be the person who brings it up. So it festers. EvenSplit is the neutral party nobody at the table can be: it has no stake, it shows its reasoning, and it hands you the words to propose a fair split without it turning into an argument. Fewer silent resentments, fewer awkward Venmo requests, and the rare relief of everyone agreeing it's even.

The project
A neutral party for a very human problem.
EvenSplit is an independent project with one job: to be the impartial referee that money-between-friends always needed. We don't take a cut, we don't hold your money, and we don't take sides. We started in 2026 with a simple idea — that most fall-outs over money aren't about the money, they're about feeling that the split wasn't fair. Give people a neutral, transparent split and the words to propose it, and a lot of that just dissolves.

Questions
Straight answers.
Does it actually do the maths?
Yes — if you give it numbers, it adds them up so the shares total the whole. If numbers are missing, it tells you the simple assumption it made.
Whose side is it on?
Nobody's. That's the point. It doesn't know who's typing and it's built to weigh every party even-handedly, including the one telling the story.
Is it really free?
The core fair-split is free with no account. A future Plus plan will add saved history, receipt parsing, and running balances.
Do you store what I type?
We don't keep your situation text. We store a subscriber email only if you choose to join the launch list.
Get Plus at launch.
One email when saved splits, receipt parsing, and running balances open up. No noise.
